Established 2004,  World Naked Bike Ride has become a steadily growing annual event, with over 70 cities in taking part in WNBR-affiliated events all over the world! The event draws people from a variety of causes,  ranging from bikers safety, to celebrating the body, through to promoting environmental awareness. “Yes! Yes! Yes! Thankyou, but no.” In times of global recession is this a phrase that you’ve been hearing a bit lately?  Well, despite the obviously negative connotations of such a statement, it has actually been a source of inspiration for Gold Coast artist, Nicholas Chalmers

The title of his debut solo show opening this Friday night at Ninelives, Nick says it’s “kind of about what I’ve been going through in regards to jobs. I haven’t had a job for a while and I’ve been going to heaps of job interviews and everyone’s just like ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah, you’re great! Thankyou for your time, but we don’t want you.’” (more…)

Live, Violent Soho are a cacophony of flannel-wearing, long-haired guitar heroes and people love it. I don’t know how to describe this, but I’d define Robert Pattinson’s fame as some sort of ‘Disney’ curse. We’ve seen it all happen before (*cough* ZAC EFRON), but with not someone who is, actually (sorry!), talented. So the poor dude makes one movie that leaves all these American nerdy teen girls scream over because they’ve already wet their panties reading the Twilight series and now nobody can leave ‘Edward Cullen’ alone.
